WELCOME
We look forward to welcoming you to the first ever virtual conference of IEPA. While we regret that the COVID pandemic prevented us from holding the conference in Rio, we are excited about the opportunities of holding an innovative virtual conference. This is the first time the conference will be organised with our colleagues in South America, and holding the conference virtually will be a great opportunity for IEPA to explore ‘New Frontiers in Early Intervention’ as well as using digital and social media during the pandemic to reach a wide audience across the world.
The conference will stimulate scientists, clinicians, people with lived experience of mental health problems and family members from around the world to present innovative and culturally significant research and clinical innovations in youth mental health and early intervention.
The promotion of mental health is not just for specialists but for everyone in the community including people with lived experience, clinicians, educators, family members, scientists and industry. Reaching new frontiers requires fresh vision and novel strategies. Producing the conference online fits perfectly wit these aims as it will allow is to keep registration fees to a minimum and reach a wider audience than a traditional conference can possible include.
The virtual conference represents an opportunity for IEPA to inspire the world with a perspective of hope in prevention research, in therapy and service organization in mental health. We are certain all of you find this conference stimulating, rewarding and meaningful.
We are looking forward to warmly welcoming you to IEPA 12 Virtual
