We look forward to welcoming you to the 12th IEPA International Conference on Early Intervention in Mental Health that will be held in one of the most exciting cities in the world, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This is the first time the conference will be held in South America, and Rio de Janeiro will be a wonderful place for IEPA to explore ‘New Frontiers in Early Intervention’.
The conference will stimulate scientists, clinicians, people with lived experience of mental health problems and family members from around the world to present innovative and culturally significant research and clinical innovations in youth mental health and early intervention.
The forum is organised for those with an interest in prevention and early intervention in youth mental health, to exchange and promote ideas and implementation in this area: from advances in genetics to improvements in brain imaging, to novel social, psychological, and digital intervention.
The promotion of mental health is not just for specialists but for everyone in the community including industry, people with lived experience, clinicians, educators, family members, and scientists. Moving forward to new frontiers requires new visions and novel strategies.
Rio de Janeiro represents a door for IEPA to inspire Latin America with a perspective of hope in prevention research, in therapy and services organization in mental health. We expect that participants will enjoy its unique landscapes and breath-taking views, and that the Brazilian way of life will infuse IEPA with their creativity and joy of living to foster hope, courage and the absence of prejudice. We are certain all of you will find this conference stimulating, rewarding and meaningful.
We are looking forward to warmly welcoming you to IEPA 12 in Rio de Janeiro.
