Early Intervention services were first established in Auckland 20 years ago. They have since become an essential element of community mental health services, with experienced and committed clinicians. In 2016, the District Health Board will be looking to reorganise the way the services are delivered. In this talk, I will share our experience of EI services in Auckland, including audit data from the service as well as lessons and learnings from two decades of service. I will conclude by discussing how the growing evidence-base behind EI is shaping our delivery of services whilst setting us new challenges.
